Vida Pt. 2
It has been incredible being with Pastor Caleb and Alyssa and their Juvenet staff here in Guatemala. God is doing some incredible things in Central America, and I had the privileged of meeting some incredible Pastors that are passionate about this generation, and the future looks bright for the students of Latin America!
Being on this trip was incredible and as I continue to reflect more on all that God did I’m sure I will write more about the actual retreat (Especially considering that I have a 7 hour layover in Dallas on my way home.)
Currently though the thing that I am reflecting on the most is how much I miss Wendy! She is such a gift to me! I have traveled many times before and have even been gone longer stretches of time than this, but for some reason this time is different.
John 10:10 says that He came to give LIFE and LIFE more abundantly
That word LIFE in the original text is ZOE, and exuberant, bubbling over LIFE! Aside from Christ the thing that is most exuberant and bubbling over in my LIFE is Wendy. He gives LIFE and LIFE more abundantly, and let me just say that He hooked me up! For me that abundant life comes in the form of my wife Wendy, or as I call her often… MY LOVE BISCUIT!

She is such an example of exuberant bubbling over life. There is never a dull moment, always, fun, enjoyable, lively, fiery, seeing the big picture, always relational, at times a bit sassy (it’s kind of cute), and always LOUD. The best way to put it… ZOE!! I have always known this but on this trip it was more of a realization than ever before.
She truly is a gift to me…the tangible gift, an expression of ZOE…abundant LIFE…not to mention my partner in crime. I think about how it incredible it would have been to have her here. I know that the people would have fallen in love with her and that she would have fallen in love with them. I truly don’t know another person that is such an example of ZOE LIFE than Wendy! Simply because she is living out the abundant LIFE that Christ has placed in her, becoming contagious to everyone around her.
This retreat has been an incredible time, and to see all that God has done in these students is amazing. The most amazing thing for me has been a greater revelation of the gift of ZOE LIFE in the form of Wendy.
